The attempted coup d’état in Estonia was clearly staged – all ‘demonstrations’ were ‘supervised’ by the Red Army. Besides, in early 1940 the Estonian Communist Party had only 133 members. People were chased from their workbenches and offices to demonstrate in the streets by the local Moscow henchmen. However, to make sure the undertaking succeeded, additional forces were imported from Russia.
