Household in South Estonia
Author(s): Mati Kose
South Estonian uplands are a part of Upper Estonia that has historically been the most significant agricultural area in Estonia. From ancient times onwards, these areas have been characterised by low density: farms situated between fields and forests cover the entire area with an unbroken network. Yet the farming is here far less intense than in the plateaus of Upper Estonia whose main farming areas are in Pandivere Upland.
